Bring The SOAP Project to your city

Let us assist you in identifying human trafficking in your home town and how you can help.

Get involved

The SOAP Project Outreach is a unique, hands-on community program that allows groups of any size to fight human trafficking locally and potentially recover victims. Human trafficking has been reported in both poverty stricken urban area motels as well as in suburban upscale hotels. With that in mind, we aim to educate those working in these locations on the signs of trafficking, arm them with the resources to fight it, and give victims a way out. But to do this, we need your help.

Today was incredible!  A small operation but a great test run that left us motivated to do more! We only did four motels, because to be honest, I was nervous about bringing the students.  I wanted to “try it out” first.  It was more than I could’ve imagined. The kids, myself and my colleague Joe all left feeling accomplished, knowledgeable and humbled.

Thank you for guiding us through this bittersweet opportunity.  Jeffrey, you were a wealth of knowledge.  My colleague joined us very pessimistic and hesitant and after hearing from you and experiencing the action, he was humbled, touched and asked to be part of our next trip.

All of the motels were more than willing to listen to us, review the poster, and gratefully took the soap.

Again, thank you for the beautiful work you do and thank you for giving us the opportunity to support you.

Host a Community Outreach

1. Label and donate a case of soap

The easiest way to get involved is to label a case of soap and ship it back to us for use in a future outreach.

The soap, makeup remover wipes, or moist towelettes and the labels will arrive separately in the mail. Just apply the labels to the product you order and pay for return shipping.

Note: It generally takes 6 people about 45 minutes to label one case of soap (1000 bars).

2. Host a SOAP Project Outreach

Find a location, set the date, and get volunteers to come out and help "SOAP Up" your community!

You or someone you choose will need to lead the program and guide the participants through a PowerPoint presentation and a video.

Then you will work together to label soap, makeup remover wipes, and/or moist towelettes. You will go out in teams to local hotels to hand out the soap along with educational folders and missing children posters.

3. Host a SOAP Project Outreach with Theresa Flores

This event is presented and run by Theresa Flores; survivor, author, and founder of The SOAP Project. She is a riveting speaker who will not only educate your volunteers but also motivate them to action with her testimony and SOAP Outreach training.

She will bring all the materials and handle all the administration.

All you'll need to do is find a location, select a date, and get volunteers.

4. Start a SOAP Project Chapter

Once trained by Theresa Flores or a SOAP Project representative, you can start your own chapter! You will receive all the materials you need to make this successful. Your group will determine how often you hold outreach events. You can hold fundraisers to help purchase soap, decide if you want to sell merchandise, and get others in your community to partner with you for events.

Note: All SOAP chapters must be pre-approved by The SOAP Project and are subject to any regulatory governance by The SOAP Project.

*All SOAP Project materials, imagery, publications, and processes are proprietary, and forbidden from use or distribution, lacking written approval and ongoing compliance with The SOAP Project's regulation.
