Our Survivor Program

We are committed to helping survivors on their personal journey of restoration

  • Survivor Wellness Weekends

The Wellness Weekend offers a safe place for adult survivors of human trafficking to heal. We provide survivors a weekend to engage with others who have experienced similar experiences and transform lives. Intensive workshops at the retreat are offered to heal mind, body and soul and allow for healing specific issues associated with various unresolved traumas.

They are held at a variety of locations around the country and are free of charge, including transportation. Survivors must be over the age of 18, have been out of the life for 2 years and not currently in any recovery program. We offer activities such as self defense, therapeutic art, yoga, and pampering. We offer sessions on forgiveness, how to trust, healthy relationships and boundaries. (Note: All volunteers assisting with the weekend are trauma informed and trained.)

Come ready to cry a little, learn, play, laugh, and love a lot.

  • Second Wind Survivor Support Group

This exclusive closed group provides empowerment opportunities for survivors to personally thrive in their lives through natural and mindful services and connection. We provide trusting care while promoting safe, confidential restorative opportunities for Survivors to relate and lean on one another through healthy healing.

The group is only open to survivors who reside in Michigan or northern Ohio. Regular in-person attendance is required if selected. Group includes counseling, therapeutic outings, bonding, and giving back to the community. Process: complete online application and then you will be contacted by the 2nd Wind Survivor Consultant for an interview.

Survivor Stories

Survivors of sex and labor trafficking are resilient. They can teach us about some of the risk factors that contributed to their situations of trafficking improving our prevention efforts. We are grateful to all the survivors who have shared, hoping that other potential victims can learn from their stories. These are their stories.

Support The SOAP Project

The SOAP Project depends heavily on voluntary donations to provide its vast array of services. We do not receive regular financial support from state or federal resources. Your contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with current IRS Guidelines. Your generosity provides critical funding that enables us to raise awareness of human trafficking of children, young people and adults through education, training and outreach services. Additionally, your support impacts our ongoing efforts to provide survivors with mental health services, trauma counseling and how to resume having a quality life.
